It exudes a great pleasure to pen a few lines about the Parent - Teacher Association of Holy Cross Anglo Indian Higher Secondary School which consists of a panel comprising of Parents and Teachers, chaired by the Head of the Institution.

The Parent members are from all walks of life, some of whom are eminent personalities in their own professions. The main objective of this PTA is to promote constructive interaction of parents with teachers. Parents and Teachers get an even chance to discuss everything that concerns the student ward. Quiet naturally, the atmosphere is informal and parents don't hesitate to air their anguish concerning the disposition of their wards at home. The teachers lend a patient and sympathetic ear to their observations at home and suggest means to elevate the stature of the student at academics and in society. Measures are taken concerning the holistic development of a child. It is during these meetings, decision to conduct seminars for students on career guidance and exposure to day to day life is taken. Reputed counselors, doctors and psychiatrists are invited to conduct seminars, which proved to be very effective and successful, as acknowledged by parents in unison.

A positve aspect of the Holy Cross PTA that needs appreciation is that whatever is suggested in the PTA forum is immediately implemented by the school for the upliftment of students' creativity and innovative skills. It is indeed praiseworthy to say that Holy Cross with a hundred years of service behind it, still listens patiently to the voice of parents, who wish their dear wards to excel in all walks of life.

The need of the hour is earnest participation of Parents who alone can shed any light on the unrevealed face of the students at home and amongst their peers, which can be precisely deciphered by the experience Teaching Fraternity. Thus, apart from a quality education and discipline that are imparted in the schools, a much needed social grace is implanted into the Virgin minds of students. In this concept Holy Cross outshines all her peers in the Peal City.
